From Drab to Fab: Cover that ugly Orc Hut!
About This Build
If you really don't like the look of an Orc hut then this is for you!
I created a more elegant/garden/elf vibe.
This will max out your outdoor budget if you have fortifications, be warned!
Doing this in the standard flight mode helps a lot as you can hover and zoom out more.
I included a rough drawing showing how the porch coverings were made and how one side of the wall cover was made to give a general idea on how this was built up.
The Entryway:
The Grand Elven Bench + Elegant curved table were used to make a nice overhang on the entry.
The front porch overhand pillars were covered using x2 Silvermoon beam platforms
x4 Silvermoon Round platforms to cover the main porch of the entry and + Elegant curved table for a front step
I placed some Elwynn cobble stones over any orc porch bits sticking out on the porch.
Use any flowers like the Small Poppy cluster or Pink Razorwind Paintbrush to add accents around the porch
Each main lower wall was covered using:
x1 Silvermoon Beam platform or Silvermoon angled platform to fill in any gaps
The Rooptop:
The roof was covered with a mix of trees, bushes, shrubs, ivy and roses.
I used the biggest trees like the Young Chestunt Tree and the Charming Laurel tree to maximize coverage
The outer edges were covered with Azsharan Firespear trees. Creeping Lattice ivy, Creeping Corner Ivy, Gloomroses, and Barrens Hosta bushes.
It helps to layer the bushes/trees/shrubs when trying to cover things. So for example take a Barrens Hosta Bush scale it up and rotate it forward so the top of the leaves face the camera more. Then place that underneath any bush or shrubs with gaps. It helps fill in spaces.
For covering the bottom of the house base:
the Draconic Memorial Stone + Flat boulders helped cover a good portion of one side
Spirtbloom flowers were used to accent the shrine
Slate Cobblestone path was used in front of the shrine leading up to it.
while the Nightborne Merchant stall helped to cover a lot of the other side.
The rest of the base was covered with mostly bushes/shrubs.
NOTES for alternative options:
If you don't want a nature rooftop, then you could use the extra budget to try and cover the upper level of the fortification instead.
For an alternate more dark wood look you can swap in items like the Carved Wooden Bar Table plus Bel'Ameth Beam Platform and use the Bel'Ameth Square and Round Platforms instead. for the entry and walls.
instead of cobblestones to cover up any porch bits, you can use decorative items like Elegant Elven Barrel or Silvermoon Barrel or the Gemmed Elven Chest
For a more rough nature/spooky vibe you can use Duskwood Sycamore Shrubs
I recently had to redo this due to finding out the hard way that changing the wall treatment on my house would literally reset everything including how the house was placed. So I do not have more screenshots.
